Completion of installation of solar power plant project on roof of Binh Duong Steel Plant

In December 2019, the Solar Power Plant Project on the roof of Binh Duong Steel Plant invested by Ecoba Renewable Energy Solutions JSC (EGE) has completed the installation and put into operation. Solar power system on the roof of Binh Duong Steel Plant with a capacity of ~ 1MWp will provide a part of the power for the plant and generate profits by selling the electricity to EVN.

 

 

Principle of grid-connected solar power system operation at Binh Duong Steel Plant: Solar panels installed on the roof of the plant will convert solar radiation into direct current (DC). The DC will be converted into alternating current (AC) by the inverter to optimize the energy generated from the solar panel system..

 

 

The AC power supply from the solar panel system will be connected to the main electrical cabinet of the plant, synchronized into the existing grid, providing the power in parallel with the grid power source, helping reduce the power consumption from the grid of the plant in use.

When the grid fails, the inverter will quickly disconnect from the grid. This is to ensure that in the event of a power grid failure, the solar panel system does not emit to the grid, endangering the users.

Grid-connected solar power system is the optimal solution for investment costs and electricity usage, especially suitable for the plants in the South with large roof area, high annual solar radiation.
